Feeling Like A Modern Day Pioneer, This & Every Winter

We made our decision to move to the country, back in the 70's, during our generation's back to the land movement. We never really raised our own food, but heated with wood for many years, & my husband still plows us out. Yesterday when he was away helping our son move from one side of Boston to another, my brother in law got a flat when he was plowing our quarter of a mile long driveway. Needless to say, the plowing came to a halt, which can be a real problemo up here.

Now the flat's been repaired, & the slope is getting done. Thank goodness too, as it does get very icy & most slippery up here once we loose sunlight.

Stay warm this winter everyone, & as always, watch out for the black ice !
