Where Have All The Flowers Gone...

Where Have All The Flowers Gone?

Well here we are with August clicking right along, or so it seemed.  We were doing aok in the flower department, until.. da..da..da..da.. !  Yup the picture was way too horrid to show you the real thing, for our pup Dolly was sleeping on the job & that's when Bambi & friends came trotting in.  Probably in the early morn.  About six to eight of my husband's sunflowers were mowed down in the prime of their lives!  A sad disaster for us, a feast for the deer, & a failing grade for Dolly who really let her guard down & slept right through the entire feast.

Oye, no Dolly this was not good!!!!!  Yes we love you,... no we're not perfect either.

Booting Up With Flower Power

Above is a sampling of a wonderful exhibit late this winter at the Worcester Art Museum.  It was truly a fun afternoon with my friend Peg & Nancy.  Nancy had this really great idea for us to make the jaunt up to the museum.  Being I've been way too lax due to a rather gray mood & an inability to muster up the energy to reach out,  have affirmed once again this morning-  I'm back & loving it!  & will do the best that I am able in this continuing exercise of being real.

Art Is Life Life Is Art, At Real Art Ways, Really

Being Real

My O my it seems like a forever time ago, but I can say I'm back & so very
thankful to once again be able to click these words & images upon a page.
My husband & I for over a year & a half have been the main healthcare advocates for my mother who is now 86 years old.  My mother's health status thankfully has been somewhat stable, but her situation has been known to change.  Often time it's a week by week, day by day situation for my mother as her trips back & forth to the hospital have  come in clusters.  This of course has been awful for her, & not very healthy on this end either.  Thus the oyes of my reluctance to crowd the page with any chatter or complaining.  But I'm only human & will just keep on keeping on, & see what I can do even when my mind feels a bit swampy.
Enclosed in today's posting are a few photos from Real Art Ways in Hartford, Ct.  A fave place to watch a cutting edge movie & view some innovative art too.
I will keep my word on being "real" & shall do my best to return soon to share & connect in our common humanity.

The Bells of One's Truth

Hola to Our Peace Garden Friends,~

It's been a most challenging road here in the Peace Garden, for when an elder parent comes upon numerous situations that bring forth crisis, it does become harder & harder at times to think outside the box a bit.  I've never been all that good at creating compartments.  As my husband has often said, "you're a poet afterall".  Such is my life, & am working on it, moment by moment.

For today I was asked to choose a fav poem, & this one by Emily Dickenson has always rung most true~
